W.I.P. ... I think...?

 I fully admit that while I’ve managed to keep this up for nearly five years, 2020 has finally seen me drop the ball.

Gloriously. 

While it’s been a mess this year, I have still managed to accomplish some writing.  I have also managed to do some artwork, and since I have easier access to that here’s a little art.

WIP: MerMay

Eventually I was going to have to do a post about this.

It's been unofficially officialy for the past few years that the month of May would be one filled with mermaid pictures all over the web. Well, last year I tried to keep up with it (fell out because I'm not the best artist) - but this year I've managed to do some almost each day. I've been posting them on Instagram, copied to Facebook, and upon occasion on Deviantart.

Here are a few little mermaids I've drawn so far for this year. They were all referenced from photos, but done freestyle, so please: Critics are welcomed. (Though understand, I'm a writer, not an artist! ....well, techincally, they're both under the same heading and one could debate that a writer is an artist in regards to making up an entire world with characters and what not - while the artist is the one who brings them to life in a portrait to portray to others. Umm.....I lost my train of thought there. Good golly what a diatribe!)

NaNoWriMo 2016

I've been competeing in this self inflicted tournment for a few years - it's down to the final two days.

While it's a struggle to write at leas 1,667 words a day (though I always strive for 2,000 because I am an overachiever), for 30 days, it's not all that impossible.

Writing is a wonderful art form - it's something that every single person on the planet has done for years. We've all written a story at some point.

With that in mind - writing a novel - which is the same as 50,000 words (in it's entirety) - it's not all that impossible.


Writing out - or writing in - is one of the best things that we can every do. Creativity and imagination in all its forms helps us cope with the world around us. It keeps us able to go through the mundane life of work and life.

Don't give up writing - don't give up the imagination - keep on writing out those stories. Continue working on those works of art because only you can do what you do.

We need you.

Be creative.

Be moved
