Freebie

Right, so because I already did my Obscure Movie Day post this month ("Monster Mash"), this week will be something random.

While I could just post another little excerpt I suppose I can just rant about something instead. (There's only one or two of you who are looking at this anywho, so I don't feel as bad.)

I think I may have already plugged this site, but I have to say how much I LOVE sending postcards via Post Crossing.

Post Crossing is one of my new favorite love.

Basically you register with the site (all of your information is secure and safe!); then you send a post card - could be to anywhere in the world!

Each card has a unique Post crossing ID number with it, so that the person who receives it can then register it. Once it's registered, you wait and then receive a postcard from anywhere in the world.

I LOVE it.

Here are a few that I have received over the last year or so of being a member.

This is how I can visit the world while being a rather poor student.

Are there any countries you'd want to receive a postcard from? Leave a comment below.

PenPals

I had a thought last night while writing a different entry for one of the many websites I frequent.

"Why not ask followers/viewers if they want to be a Penpal? It would be a great way to meet someone from online in a more personal way."

The more I pondered over it, I realized it would also be a great way to keep the art of Cursive Writing alive. Think about it: how did the majority of people write back when hand-written letters were popular?

It's sad that the school systems are removing this wonderful, beautiful form out of the ciurriculm. How on earth are the kids supposed to read old documents now? I have a hard time of it myself and I was taught this in elementary school!

Also - how will we read the Official Declaration of Independence?

Food for thought.

Though back on the topic of Penpals (I do digress quite frequently, hence why this is a blog) - I think it would be fantastic to have a base where you can write to people all over the world. I had one ping back from that blog and have to say - I'm super excited to begin this PenPal experience.

How about you? Would you be willing to be a Penpal with someone out in the world?
